It may seem that rabbits that walk with their hind legs over their head--like an acrobat walking on her hands--belong in a circus, but this breed spends almost all the time in a lab. By comparing these sauteur d’Alfort with run-of-the-mill breeds, researchers are learning what it takes to move limbs in a coordinated way.  Now, they have pinned down the single genetic mutation that likely causes this peculiar form of locomotion.
