For the last two decades, the National School of Tropical Medicine and its Center for Vaccine Development in Houston, Texas has operated with the mission to develop and test new low-cost and effective vaccines against emerging and neglected tropical diseases, build capacity for vaccine development locally and with foreign nations and guide and influence vaccine policy and advocacy. This approach relies on the need for international diplomacy, solidarity, and cooperation.
